I don't know about you but June has been frustrating. The Rangers have hit a rough patch and we have not been able to podcast. If you are long-time listener, every year around this time, we have a small break due job commitments that take one of us out of town.
I was not able to watch the game live tonight. So after the game, I fired up the DVR and watched only the innings that Darvish pitched. The first thing I noticed was that Jeter jumped on his first pitch. I thought for sure that Jeter would try to work Darvish more in his first at bat. I guess he was looking for a fastball.
My esteemed colleague cites the oppositions' home run production as the reason for the 4-5 road trip not being a 6-3 or 7-2 road trip. Certainly the opposition was hitting the ball with more authority and power, and the Rangers were laboring in home run friendly parks two out of three cities (BAL and NYY).
